1. Booking & Payment
- All stall bookings must be made through the official Second Chance Market booking link or approved channels.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your stall.
- Stalls are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organiser.
- Stall bookings may be transferred or sold to another person with approval from the original booker AND the organiser to ensure accurate records and stall allocation.
2. Stallholder Responsibilities
- Stallholders must bring their own tables, racks, chairs, and display set-up unless otherwise stated.
- Stallholders must ensure their display fits within their allocated stall area and does not block walkways.
- All items sold must be clean, safe, and presented in good condition.
- Stallholders must supervise their stall at all times. The organiser is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
3. Bump-In & Bump-Out
- Stallholders must follow the allocated arrival/bump-in schedule provided before market day.
- Vehicles must be moved to the designated parking area immediately after unloading.
- Pack-down must not begin before the official market closing time unless approved by the organiser.
- All rubbish must be removed from your stall area.
4. Product Guidelines
- Second Chance Market supports sustainability and is generally flexible with items being rehomed, provided they are safe and suitable for sale.
- No illegal, unsafe, or prohibited items are permitted.
- Food sales require prior approval and the appropriate local council permits.
- Only one stall per food category (e.g., one coffee vendor) is allowed, allocated at the organiser’s discretion.
5. Conduct & Behaviour
- Stallholders must behave respectfully towards customers, staff, volunteers, and other stallholders.
- Aggressive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the event without refund.
- Children attending with stallholders must be supervised at all times.
6. Safety Requirements
- All stall setups must be stable, secure, and free of hazards to customers.
- Electrical items are generally not required unless operating as a food stall. If electricity is needed for any reason, items must be tested, tagged, and used only in designated powered stalls.
- Emergency exits and pathways must remain clear at all times.
7. Marketing & Photography
- Second Chance Bendigo may take photos and videos during the event for promotional purposes.
- By participating, stallholders consent to their stall or likeness being used in promotional and marketing material.
- Stallholders are encouraged to promote their participation on social media using approved branding or tags.
8. Cancellations & Changes
- If a stallholder cancels, no refunds are offered. However, the organiser may consider a transfer to a future market only in exceptional circumstances.
- The organiser reserves the right to move or reconfigure stall locations to improve market flow or safety.
- If the event is cancelled by the organiser, stallholders will receive a refund or credit.
9. Liability
- Stallholders participate at their own risk.
- The organiser is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or theft occurring before, during, or after the event.
- Stallholders selling handmade or small-business goods are encouraged to hold their own public liability insurance.
10. Agreement
By booking a stall at Second Chance Market, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all Terms & Conditions listed above.
Common items in a terms and conditions agreement allow you to:
- Withdraw and cancel services, and make financial transactions.
- Manage customer expectations, such as liability for information errors or website downtime.
- Explain your copyright rules, such as attribution, adaptation, commercial or non-commercial use, etc.
- Set rules for user behavior, like forbidding unlawful behavior, hate speech, bullying, promotions, spam, etc.
- Disable user accounts.
- Write down any other terms or conditions that protect you or your audience.
